Grainhouse is built so that your photos and edits stay with you. This page explains the little information that is processed and why.

Who is responsible

Your photos and edits

The editor runs entirely in your browser. Pictures you open, your edits and your recent work are processed and stored only on your device, in your browser’s own storage. We never receive them. You can delete saved work from the start screen (“Clear recent work”) or by clearing your browser’s site data.

License keys

If you activate Pro, your license key is stored in your browser. The key contains the email address and name used at purchase, so the app can show who it belongs to. It is checked on your device and is not sent to us.

Purchases

Pro is sold through [Lemon Squeezy / Paddle], which acts as the merchant of record. They process your payment and billing details under their own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address and order details so we can send your license key and handle support or refunds. We keep these records for as long as accounting law requires.

Hosting

The website is hosted by [Cloudflare, Inc. / Netlify, Inc.]. Like every web host, it processes technical data such as your IP address when your browser requests a page, to deliver it securely. We do not use these logs to identify you.

No tracking

We use no analytics, advertising, tracking cookies or third-party fonts. Fonts are served from our own site.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (in practice, purchase records), and object to its processing. Email hello@grainhouseapp.com. You can also complain to the Luxembourg data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.public.lu).
